These are the current Town Council committees:

PROMOTION, PARTNERSHIP & FINANCE COMMITTEE –

Responsible for the Council’s promotional activities, communications, events, and tourism initiatives by working on its own and in partnership with other organisations as well as ensuring the sound management of the Council’s finances and resources. It also considers and makes decisions on grant applications.

Members: Councillors, Shaun Boniface, Julie Carr, Jessa Chapman, James Harrison, Lyndsey Macleod, Steve Saunders and Mark Wardle.

REGENERATION & STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE –

Responsible for the strategic development of the Council and the supervision of projects aimed at the regeneration of the town and to investigate and develop projects to improve the image of the town.
Members: Councillors, Kim Bishop, Lesley Boniface, Shaun Boniface, James Harrison, Krissy Taylor, Corina Watts, and Jan Woodling.

ENVIRONMENT & AMENITIES COMMITTEE-

Responsible for social centres, cemetery buildings and open spaces owned by the Council along with related environmental items and facilities within the Council’s control.

Members: Councillors, Graham Amy, Kim Bishop, Lesley Boniface, Jo Pettitt, Lyndsey Macleod, Krissy Taylor, and Jan Woodling.

PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE-

Responsible for commenting on formal planning applications and responding to development, transport and related environmental issues on behalf of the Council.

Members: Councillors, Steve Saunders (C), Krissy Taylor (VC), Lesley Boniface, Kim Bishop, Pinky McLean-Knight, Graham Amy, and Jessa Chapman.

AUDIT COMMITTEE-

Responsible for the consideration of matters raised by internal and external auditors and in conjunction with the Town Clerk and Executive Officer, to make necessary changes if appropriate and report recommendations to Full Council.

Members: Councillors, Graham Amy, Jessa Chapman, Sarah Hale, Pinky McLean-Knight, and Corina Watts.

PERSONNEL COMMITTEE-

Responsible for the review and setting of pay and conditions for staff and to address and resolve personnel issues, including grievance and disciplinary matters alongside the Town Clerk.

Members: Councillors, Jo Pettitt (C), Sarah Hale (VC), Shaun Boniface, Corina Watts, Julie Carr, Steve Saunders and Lindsey Macleod.
