Twinkle-toes raise funds for tyres!
A charity tea-dance, held on the 22nd October, raised £500 which was split between the Hillcrest Community Centre, Newhaven (where the dance took place) and CTLA Community Transport, which reduces isolation and loneliness by providing accessible journeys.
70 dancers enjoyed tuition from acclaimed dance teacher, Margaret Cantell of Studio Tempo and refreshments were provided by Peter and Joan Rhodes of the Hillcrest Centre.
The afternoon was organised by Sharon Bewley and Steve Saunders, the former Mayor and Mayoress of Newhaven, who thanked the volunteers and dancers for raising funds for two vital community charities.
Another tea-dance will be organised for the New Year and the proceeds will again support local charities.
