CONSERVATION
Castle Hill Group
This site is a Local Nature Reserve, and lies adjacent to Newhaven Fort, occupying a prominent position on the cliff tops above Newhaven. It offers spectacular views in all directions, over the Ouse Estuary, the Downs, Seaford Head and over the sea. Adjacent to the dramatic Fort at Newhaven, Castle Hill offers not only a variety of interesting coastal and terrestrial habitats, it also has fascinating archaeological, historical and geological histories.
The Castle Hill Conservation Group were set up to help look after the site, they meet at the top car park near the Fort on the first Sunday of the month from 10am - 12noon. Cycle Seahaven
Hold regular rides, both on-road and off-road. The rides vary in length and pace, ranging from easy 'beginners' and children's rides to faster club runs. Denton & South Heighton Junior Football Club
Teams for under 6's to under 16's. Denton & South Heighton Junior Football Club was founded by Buck Charman back in the 1970's to provide football facilities for the children of the two villages. Over time this has expanded to include Newhaven and nowadays we are welcoming children from a much larger catchment area, offering football opportunities to children aged from 5 to 16. We currently have around 100 children involved in our club.

Newhaven Cricket Club
Newhaven Cricket Club run a youth section catering for boys and girls from aged 6 to 16. Coaching sessions are fun. Indoors at Peacehaven Leisure Centre in March and April (Friday evenings from 7pm to 8pm) and outdoors at Fort Road Recreation Ground, Newhaven every Saturday from the last Saturday in April until the 1st Saturday in August, from 9.15am to 10.30am. Newhaven Football Club
Newhaven Girls FC currently have 2 girls teams playing in the Sussex County Women and Girls Football League in the Under 11 and Under 12 age group categories, we also have an Under 10 development squad playing friendly games and training matches. The Girls section caters for Girls between the ages of 8 to 16 and trains at Newhaven Football Club, Fort Road, Newhaven on Tuesday evenings between September and July from 6pm to 7pm.
All coaches and assistants are FA Level 1 qualified coaches and have been fully CRB checked in accordance with FA and League recommendations.
Any Girls interested in joining the club will be welcomed and can come along free of charge for the first 2 or 3 training sessions as a taster to see whether they would like to join, please contact Denise or Andy Lloyd on 01273 517691.

Seahaven Harriers was the first dedicated Girls Football Club within the area of Newhaven, Seaford, Peacehaven and Lewes in East Sussex.
