Newhaven Neighbourhood Plan Referendum

The Newhaven Neighbourhood Plan Referendum is to take place on 10th October 2019.

Lewes District Council are organising the referendum which will be conducted in accordance with procedures which are similar to local elections.

Ways of Voting

There are three ways of voting.  This can be done in person on 10th October and your polling card will advise you of your polling station, which will be at one of the venues below:

To vote by post, you will need to complete an application form and send it to the Electoral Registration Officer to arrive by 5pm on 25th September 2019 to Lewes District Council, Southover House, Southover Road, Lewes, BN7 1AB.
To vote in person you must be registered to vote by Tuesday 24th September.

To vote by proxy, you will need to complete an application form and send it to the Electoral Registration Officer at the address above to arrive by 5pm on 2nd October 2019. Any queries contact the Electoral Services Helpline on 01273 471600.

Copies of the documents can also be viewed at the Town Council offices at 18 Fort Road, Newhaven, BN9 9QE.  The offices are open between 8.30am and 3.30pm on weekdays.
