Lewes District Council Local Plans Part 1 and Part 2
Lewes District Council’s Core Strategy (Local Plan Part 1)
The Core Strategy was adopted by Lewes District Council on 11 May 2016 and by the South Downs National Park Authority on 23 June 2016. It now forms part of the development plan for the district. Lewes District Council’s Local Plan Part 2
Lewes District Council has prepared a plan that will, when adopted, allocate land for housing, including Gypsy and Traveller pitches, and employment. It will also set out detailed planning policies to guide development and change in the period to 2030.
The Lewes Local Plan Part 2 and supporting documents have now been submitted to the Secretary of State under Regulation 22 of The Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012. An examination in public will now commence which will include hearing sessions.
