Recreation grounds

Newhaven has several recreation grounds, and many of them are cared for by the Town Council.

These include the Denton Recreation Ground that was renovated in 2024. We also look after the Lewes Road Recreation Ground, where the play area was completely replaced with a new one in 2019. Valley Road play area and Parkour, as well as the East Side recreation ground that was renovated and given a completely new look in 2025, are also managed by the Town Council.

Fort Road and Avis Road recreation grounds are currently maintained by Lewes District Council.
