Newhaven Library of Things is a part of Newhaven Green Centre CIC, helping the residents of Newhaven, Sussex to reduce their carbon footprint and save money by sharing. There will be a chance to join, view the stock, meet the team, make suggestions for new items, browse the Bring & Take table and have a cuppa. It’s a great way to find out all about the library.

Library items can be collected and returned to us:
at our stalls at Newhaven Library, High Street, Newhaven, BN9 9PD every Thursday 10-12am
at the Mencap Hall, Riverside, Newhaven, BN9 9BP every Tuesday evening 6.30-7.30pm
at our monthly repair cafés at Meeching Hall, Fort Road, Newhaven, BN9 9QQ, usually on the second Sunday of the month, 2.30 – 4.30pm

Bumps and Babies is a group for babies aged up to 12 months and their parents and carers, and also expectant mums.

Our classes are relaxed and informal yet structured so that participants reap the benefits of this wonderful form of exercise. We are a friendly group of ladies and gents and are always ready to welcome a new member to the group. You are encouraged to work at your own level and pace on each exercise and never worry about what anyone else is doing.  There is a maximum of 12 participants per class. You won’t know until you try – so come along and feel the difference Pilates can make for yourself!

Beginners as well as experienced wood creatives are very welcome. We are a diverse group who can help new members with informal technical and practical guidance.

The workspace has a wide range of machinery, woodworking hand tools and our own wood stocks that are available. All aspects of woodworking are possible from the usual – carving, turning, sculpture through to furniture designs and restoration projects – if it involves using wood this is the place. Every Tuesday lunch time at Seahaven Academy we are in Miss Christy’s RS room. Bring your lunch for quizzes, fun activities and a place to hang out!
