2nd Denton & South Heighton Scouts “Ralph Reader’s Own” (ages 11-14)

The Group consists of the Beaver Colony (ages 6-8), the Cub Pack (ages 8-11) and the Scout Troop (ages 11-14)
The normal meeting place for all sections is St Leonards Church Hall, Heighton Road, Denton but we try to be outdoors as much as possible according to the seasons. For meeting times ask alongside.
All Sections meet during school term times. Subscriptions are £2.50 per week, and as it covers hall rent, insurance, Friday meeting activities and most badges, needs to be paid whether your son or daughter attends the meeting or not. Subs can be paid termly or half termly, by cash or cheque. Just tell us how you wish to pay. Cubs’ and Scouts’ subs can also be paid by BACS.
The whole Group is under the leadership of a Group Scout Leader and is helped in all sorts of ways by a Group Committee. None of the Leaders or Committee is paid. We are all volunteers (and DBS-checked).
The Committee – and indeed all sections of the Group – organise and help with fundraising for equipment and so on.
