Contact the Information for Families service at www.eastsussex.gov.uk/childrenandfamilies/information-for-families for free, accurate and up to date information and advice on all childcare facilities and services for children throughout East Sussex. They also provide information/signposting on school admissions, special educational needs and disability, teenagers and young people, courses and training within the childcare sector.
Playgroups
Munchkins Parent, Baby and Toddler Group
On every Thursday 10-12pm (including school holidays except Christmas) at Summerhayes Centre, Marshall Lane, Newhaven. For parents, grandparents etc with children up to 5 years old, to play and socialise with others with a weekly art, craft or cookery activity. Sessions £1 per adult and 20p per child. Refreshments included. Teddy Bear/ Sports day in the summer including Halloween and Christmas Parties. Optional social evenings for parents. Contact Janet on 01273 515301 for more details.
Bumps and Babies
A parent/carer and baby group specifically aimed at the 0 – 1 year age group. Expectant mums are also welcome to come and get to know other parents and carers in the weeks leading up to their baby’s arrival.
