Promote your Business in and around Newhaven
From 1 May 2025, businesses and event organisers will be able to advertise on the Town Council’s 9 noticeboards around the Town.
Noticeboard locations:
Advertising rates apply as follows:
A4 size poster – £5 per week (for up to 9 locations)
A5 size flyer – £2.50 per week (for up to 9 locations)
(Please note: advertising rates do not apply to charities and voluntary organisations).
The Council also offers a limited printing service for posters and flyers, at additional cost.

Content Rules
Advertisements should detail timely local information and events. The following will not be accepted:
- – Any discriminatory language or suggestions, including, but not limited to, hate speech and expletives in the text or via images
- – Promoting a religious cause only, with no event or activity taking place
- – Any political inferences
- – Any event that does not benefit the residents of Newhaven
All posters must:
- – Be a maximum of A4 in size (the Denton notice board has a maximum size of A5)
- – Consider accessibility – they should be easy to read, in colours that are contrasting and not using fonts that may be difficult for those with visual impairments to read
- – Include a working phone number wherever possible. A poster that only points to a website / email for more information will not serve those members of the community who are not online
Priority
Council-related posters will take priority, and other posters will be displayed only if there is room. During Pre-Election and Election periods, NTC may require the use of the whole board for election notices.
NTC reserve the right to select which posters can be featured and we will insert posters that meet the content rules above on a first come, first served basis, until all the spaces are allocated. We have nine noticeboards around the town and posters can be pre-printed and posted/handed in to the NTC offices or emailed to: admin@newhaventowncouncil.go.vuk for printing by NTC.
Costs must be paid for the full duration of the advertisement prior to the poster being placed within the noticeboard(s). An invoice for payment will be issued to you that can be paid as follows:
- – Online: Bank details will be shown on our invoice
- – Cash: Handed in to the NTC offices
- – Credit/debit card: In person at the NTC offices
Poster Removals
Posters will be displayed no more than two weeks before an event and will remain in place for a maximum of four weeks for other types of advertisements. Immediately after an event has taken place (or after four weeks for other types of advertisements), they will be removed, recycled and cannot be returned.
