IMPORTANT ROADWORKS INFORMATION
A259 Brighton Road, Newhaven & South Coast Road, Peacehaven.
Works will be carried out between 8pm Monday 14th September to 6am Tuesday 15th September 2026.

Affected areas: Between Kwikfit in Newhaven and Downland Avenue in Peacehaven.

The road will be closed to through traffic with a signed diversion in place via the A259, Marine Drive B2006, Wilson Avenue, Warren Road, B1123, A27, A26, Drove Road and Brighton Road and vice versa.

For safety, access to properties within the works area will be limited and managed during working hours. Please speak to the team on site if you need access.

Local bus operators have been informed of these works and services will be diverted. A regular shuttlebus service will operate between Newhaven and Peacehaven. For more information, please see the signs displayed on site.
