C7 Junction with the One-Way system: Wednesday

Dear Residents & Commuters,

The Town Council is very much aware of the inconvenience and consternation caused by the ill-advised actions of our Christmas Lights contractor this morning (Wednesday November 27th 2024). Please accept our apologies for this.

The Towns Christmas Lights have normally been installed late at night and in the early hours of a morning, and our contractors are fully aware of this ongoing requirement.

Despite this however, and without the Councils’ instruction or knowledge, our contractors took the inexplicable and wholly illogical decision to carry out this part of the installation during this morning’s ‘rush-hour’.

Again, please accept our apologies for this and be assured that this matter has been taken up with them in the strongest possible terms to ensure no repetition. Their decision and actions were inappropriate, and the Council sincerely apologises for what has happened.
