Denton Play Area is open!!
Newhaven Town Council are very pleased to announce that on Friday 20th December 2024 the Mayor of Newhaven, Councillor Pinky Mclean-Knight formally pronounced the refurbished Denton Play Area open for children and young people to enjoy, learn and play together.
The Mayor was joined by the Deputy Town Mayor, Councillor Kim Bishop, Councillors Corina Watts & Lindsey Macleod (who have worked tirelessly to arrange for this much anticipated refurbishment) along with Councillors James Harrison, Mark Wardle, Graham Amy, not forgetting the man of the moment, Santa Claus himself!
We hope that all the local children (most of whom seemed to be at the opening) will come and enjoy the new and improved facilities over the Christmas period and many more Christmas’s to come.
