Freedom of Newhaven

We are proud to announce that the honorary Freedom of Newhaven has been officially bestowed upon Juliet Olsworth-Peter JP DL by Newhaven Town Council in recognition of her outstanding service, dedication, and lasting contributions to our community.

This prestigious honour is reserved for individuals who have gone above and beyond in shaping the spirit and future of our town.

Mrs Juliet Olsworth-Peter was presented with a framed scroll by Cllr Kim Bishop, Mayor of Newhaven after the Dieppe Raid commemorations earlier this month. The ceremony was a heartfelt celebration of community, gratitude, and pride. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this moment truly special.
