Notice of Public Consultation from Savills & BECG – A sustainable new community at Harbour Heights
A community consultation is being launched regarding a sustainable new community of 400 new homes, including affordable housing, and employment space at Harbour Heights, Newhaven by Savills and BECG.
The site, which lies to the north of Court Farm Road, has already been identified for development in the adopted Lewes Core Strategy.
Part of the land is already developed, and includes Quarry Road Industrial Estate, which is built on the site of the former Meeching Quarry.
The industrial estate would be redeveloped with a mixture of homes, shops, employment space, and new community facilities.
The land to its west, which has also been allocated for development, will be used to provide the rest of the housing along with a large open public space for the enjoyment of all, known as Shell Park.
The development is being promoted by Savills with BECG providing specialist support regarding community engagement.
A public consultation drop-in session will be held on Wednesday 18th January 2023 between 4pm – 7pm at The Hillcrest Centre, Bay Vue Road, Newhaven, BN9 9LH
In addition, a virtual exhibition is hosted at newhaven.consultationonline.co.uk/ and will be available for comment until 25th January 2023.
