Wanted – Town Crier for Newhaven
Oyez! Oyez! Oyez! – Could you be the new Town Crier for Newhaven?
If you possess a booming voice, a love for public announcements, and a flair for the dramatic, with a passion for Newhaven and a good knowledge of our town, this noble role could be yours.
Duties include spreading important news, making special announcements, sharing local treasures with the fine folks of Newhaven and adding a touch of grandeur to our beloved town. You will be able to engage and entertain audiences of all ages and embrace and promote the rich history of Newhaven town.
Be advised that this role will be mainly on weekends and in the evenings and it is a voluntary role.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend a Q and A session and perform a sample cry at the full Council meeting of Newhaven Town Council to be held at Meeching Hall, Fort Road, Newhaven BN9 9QE on Tuesday 8th April 2025
