Biography

Charlotte’s aims were to:

1. improve services for teenagers experiencing problems and difficulties by giving them somewhere to turn for advice and help
2. provide more activities for young people
3. start up careers open days with local businesses and community services
4. make parks safer and cleaner, with better equipment and lighting
5. help people overcome dyslexia
6. improve local transport and leisure facilities in Newhaven.

Achievements in office:

1. hosted Young People of the Year awards
2. spoke on behalf of young people in the town at town council meetings
3. represented young people at a number of events
4. attended meetings of the Newhaven Youth Forum
5. set up Youth to Youth – a special online counselling service for young people
6. raised £692.72 for her charities – Dyslexia Action and Rockinghorse Appeal.
