Biography

Newhaven’s first Young Mayor aimed to:

1. promote youth activities in Newhaven
2. support the re-opening of West Beach
3. improve park equipment for young people
4. get affordable bus fares for young people to travel around the town.

Achievements in office:

1. led a march to West Beach, campaigning for it to be re-opened
2. introduced a Young People of the Year awards scheme and presided over the first awards
3. spoke on behalf of young people in the town at town council meetings
4. spoke on behalf of young people at the Public Inquiry into Village Green status for West Beach
5. represented young people at a number of events.
