Biography

Sophie’s aims were to:

1. Improve Newhaven’s reputation and raise the positive profile of young adults in the area
2. Campaign for better transport links
3. Increase economic activity, particularly small shops and involving young people
4. Use social media better, sharing information between youth, creating an app to get people involved in local activities around Newhaven

Achievements in office:

1. Represented young people at a number of events
2. Spoke on behalf of young people in the town at town council meetings
3. Took part in a number of charity fundraising events, including a skydive for her chosen charity Chestnut Tree House hospice for children.
