Everyone is welcome, with free tea, coffee, cake and clothing for all ages, as well as crafts and toys and games for little ones to enjoy.

It’s a relaxed, welcoming opportunity for local families and residents to come along, enjoy some refreshments, browse the clothing and meet others in the community.

Explore the unique range of habitats, plants and animals on these free and friendly guided walks at Castle Hill Local Nature Reserve, organised by the Railway Land Wildlife Trust.

Every Wednesday at 10.30am. Meet in the upper car park of Newhaven Fort.

All ages and abilities welcome.
Adults £3 per session, children £2 which includes refreshments.  First session free!

Ever Fancied Playing the Ukulele?
We are a fun and informal ukulele group. Everyone is welcome, from beginners to more advanced players.
We meet fortnightly at the Hillcrest Centre.
Just turn up with a ukulele!
If you are a complete beginner, we are able to offer tuition to get you started.

Beginners as well as experienced wood creatives are very welcome. We are a diverse group who can help new members with informal technical and practical guidance.

The workspace has a wide range of machinery, woodworking hand tools and our own wood stocks that are available. All aspects of woodworking are possible from the usual – carving, turning, sculpture through to furniture designs and restoration projects – if it involves using wood this is the place.
