Denton & Mount Pleasant Social Centre – Planning Application for building improvements.
As part of its ongoing Building Assets Strategy, Newhaven Town Council has submitted a planning application to improve Denton & Mount Pleasant Social Centre.
The application seeks to modernise the existing building and augment it with a Café and additional external access public toilets for families visiting the recently installed play area and the recreation ground.
At ground floor level, the current Hall, together with its existing internal toilets and storage area, will continue to be available for community rental upon building completion, whilst the plans also seek to provide a dedicated council meeting space and offices above the Hall as part of its ongoing Assets Strategy.
The Planning Application is numbered LW/25/0530, and all plans and documents can be viewed at the Lewes District Council Planning Portal where you can make comments in support or objection to the application based upon recognised planning principles.
